The bikes were seized in the Flaxley Road area of the town in the early hours of Tuesday 14 February by officers who believe they were stolen around this time.

A 17-year-old local man was been arrested in connection with suspected bike thefts.  He has been bailed as police continue their enquiries.

Officers meanwhile are appealing to the owners of the bikes to come forward and claim their property.

One of the cycles is a white, blue and red men's Atlantis Sport Utility. The second bike is black men's Rays 1 Target and the third is a blue and pink women's Emmelle.

PC Stuart Henderson said, "If you have had your bike stolen recently and you think one of those pictured belongs to you, please contact the police and we will arrange for you to have it back."

If one of the bikes belongs to you, contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 - select option 2- and ask for Stuart Henderson or Selby police.
