Ten sheds and garages were broken into overnight between Friday 30 and Saturday 31 December 2011, the majority were in Main Street, Cow Lane and Park Lane in Womersley near Eggborough.
The thieves got away with tools and fishing tackle, although they failed to gain entry to some of the sheds.
A Citroen van was also broken into and thieves stole a number of tools from inside the van.
Police are appealing for anyone who saw or heard anything during the night or noticed any suspicious vehicles in the area to contact them.
